1. It's just ~ (그냥 ~일 뿐이에요)

 

just가 simply(그저,단지)의 뜻으로 쓰여 별다른 이유나 의도가 없이 한 말이나 행동을 나타내요. 반면에 It's just what I wanted. (딱 내가 원하던 거야) 처럼 exactly (딱, 꼭)와 같은 뜻으로 쓰이기도 한답니다.

 

■ 예시

A: We need to get going.
B: On, no! Already?
A: It's just about time to leave.
B: I think time really flies.

 

■ 예문

It's just an excuse.	그냥 변명일 뿐이에요.
It's just so expensive.	그냥 너무 비쌀 뿐이에요.
It's just a tough time.	그냥 힘든 시간일 뿐이에요.
It's just bad luck.	그냥 불운일 뿐이에요.

2.  It's time ~ (이제 ~할 시간이에요)

 

다음 할 일에 대한 계획을 말하거나 상대방에게 함께 할 일을 제안하는 상황에 쓰는 패턴입니다. It's time~ 뒤에는 for 명사, to 동사원형 등이 올 수 있습니다.

 

■ 예시

A: Are you busy?
B: No, why?
A: It's time for a conference call with management in company headquarters.
B: OK. I'll be ready in a minute.

 

■ 예문

It's time to grow up.	이제 성장할 시간이에요.
It's time to board your plane.	이제 비행기에 탑승할 시간이에요.
