1. It's no wonder~ (~하는 것도 당연해요)

 

wonder는 명사로 '놀랄 만한 것'이라는 뜻인데 앞에 no가 들어가서 no wonder가 되면 '놀랍지도 않은 일' 이라는 뜻입니다. 즉, 당연한 현상이라는 뜻이죠. 앞에 It's 를 빼고 No wonder (that) ~ 형태로도 많이 사용해요.

 

■ 예시

A: Who on earth is that?
B: That's Ryan. Everyone likes him.
A: He's a good-looking guy, I think.
B: You can say that again. It's no wonder everyone likes him.

 

■ 예문

It's no wonder you fell behind.	당신이 뒤떨어지는 것도 당연해요.

2.  It's not like you to ~ (~하는 건 너 답지 않아)

 

상대방이 평소 알던 모습과 다르거나 안 하던 행동을 할 때 쓸 수 있는 표현이에요. 반대로 '~하다니 딱 너답다'라고 할 때는 It's just like you to~ 를 씁니다.

 

■ 예시

A: I thought you had work to do today.
B: I was supposed to.
A: It's not like you to skip work.
B: Sorry. I really wanted to relax on the beach today.

It's not like you to be lazy.	게으른 건 너답지 않아.
