1. There is always ~ (항상~이 있어요)

 

There is~ 는 뒤에 단수명사가 와서 ~이 있다. 라는 뜻이고, always는 '항상' 이라는 뜻입니다. 그래서 이 패턴은 항상 존재하는 가능성이나 여지를 나타내는 표현이에요.

 

■ 예시

A: Do you want to go shopping tomorrow?
B: No. I'm supposed to go on Tuesday.
A: Why?
B: There is always a sale on Tuesday.

 

■ 예문

There is always something going on there.	항상 여기서 뭔가가 벌어지고 있어요.
There is always something to be thankful for.	항상 감사할 뭔가가 있어요.
There is always a disagreement at the weekly meeting.	주간회의에서는 항상 의견 차이가 있어요.
There is always next time.	항상 다음이 있어요.
There is always another day.	항상 또 다른 날이 있어요.

2.  There is no need to ~ (~할 필요 없어요)

 

불필요하거나 부적절한 행동에 대해 지적하는 표현이예요. 상대방이 굳이 할 필요가 없는 것에 몰두하고 있거나, 바람직하지 못한 행동을 보인다면 한 마디 해 주는 것도 좋겠죠.

 

■ 예시

A: Mike called you eariler.
B: Did he? I'll give him a call back later.
A: No. There is no need to call him back. He'll give you a call again.
B: Okay. Good for me.

 

■ 예문

There is no need to get mad.	화낼 필요 없어요.
There is no need to repair this broken desk.	이 부서진 책상을 고칠 필요 없어요.
There is no need to quarrel with the manager.	관리자와 말싸움할 필요 없어요.
There is no need to be so mean.	그렇게 심술궂게 굴 필요 없어요.
